Here are some commonly asked questions about TinyCal.

Q: What are the system requirements for TinyCal? A: TinyCal requires Mac OS 10.4 or 10.5. For event reminders, you need the Growl library (available here). In order to use Google personal calendars, you must have a Google account (available here).

Q: What is the difference between the free version of TinyCal and the paid version? A: The paid version allows you to use your personal Google Calendars. The free version only offers access to certain public calendars.

Q: Can I use TinyCal with my organization's Google Apps installation? A: Yes. Just log in the same way you log in to your organization's Google Calendar website.

Q: Can I add events to my personal calendar? A: Yes. Either click the + button to add an event, or double-click the date on the calendar display.

Q: Can I delete events from my personal calendar? A: Yes, you can delete any events in your personal calendars.

Q: How can I view other public calendars in TinyCal? A: You can subscribe to other public calendars using the Google Calendar website, and then enable that calendar in TinyCal.

Q: Does TinyCal sync automatically with Google Calendars? A: Yes. TinyCal will synchronize with your personal Google Calendar approximately every 10 minutes. If you create or edit an event from the Google website, it may take up to 10 minutes for TinyCal to show your edits.

Of course, you can force a synchronization at any time by pressing the Reload button.

If you add a new calendar, you will have to reload your Google Calendars manually in the Personal preference pane.

Q: Does TinyCal work with iCal? A: At this time, TinyCal does not work with iCal.
